Table of Contents

Last week, one of All In Solutions Counseling Center Cherry Hill’s outreach coordinators, Megan Cohen, was invited onto the Barstool Sports podcast Friend of Jerry to discuss her nonprofit foundation The Grace Project. Sat beside her friend and fellow volunteer, Cohen spoke to “Jersey Jerry” about her own struggles with addiction, her recovery, and the work the Grace Project does to help those in need in the Kensington area.

The Friend of Jerry podcast centers around the host’s life after addiction and personal recovery, and features interviews with celebrities who are open about their sobriety. Guests join the show to share their stories, give advice on how to deal with addictions and struggling loved ones, and provide hope that recovery is possible.

Megan Cohen, who works as an outreach coordinator at All In Solutions Cherry Hill, joined the show to raise awareness about the incredible work that the volunteers at her foundation, The Grace Project have been doing in Philadelphia. In her active addiction, Megan shares that she spent some time homeless in Kensington. Thanks to the kindness of a stranger, she now has the opportunity to give back to that very same community.

About The Grace Project

The Grace Project aims to bring hope through acts of kindness to children and adults impacted by sickness, poverty, or addiction. We currently have three programs. We found our roots in our Kensington Outreach program. We go out to the Kensington section of Philadelphia every Thursday and bring supplies to the homeless. We also help place individuals in treatment and conclude each of our trips by sweeping up a section of the neighborhood. Our Give a “Little” Hope Program is designed solely for children in need of a little hope and allows us to give them an entire day tailored specifically to them. Finally, we have our Hope for the Holidays program which brings a memorable holiday to families in need.
